Experienced Barista

Carlino’s Specialty Food Market & Bakery

Carlino’s is looking for an experienced, personable, and energetic Barista to join our team! We’re seeking someone who loves great coffee, enjoys connecting with customers, and thrives in a fast-paced specialty food market and bakery environment.

This role is about more than making coffee. You’ll help create a welcoming experience for our customers by preparing quality beverages, serving customers, and bringing our coffee and beverage program to life with both classic favorites and seasonal specialties.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve espresso drinks, coffee, teas, and other specialty beverages to Carlino’s standards.

• Create and execute both staple menu offerings and seasonal drink specials.

• Provide friendly, attentive customer service and help customers with menu selections.

• Take customer orders, process transactions, and maintain an efficient service flow.

• Multitask between beverage preparation, customer interaction, stocking, and general station upkeep.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked coffee and service area.

• Work collaboratively with the bakery and specialty market teams to create a cohesive customer experience.

• Maintain consistency, quality, and attention to detail during busy service periods.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous barista experience is required, including familiarity with espresso beverages and coffee preparation.

• Strong customer service and communication skills.

• Excellent multitasking skills and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

• A positive, team-oriented attitude and a genuine interest in specialty food, coffee, and hospitality.

• Dependability, flexibility, and a strong work ethic.

• The ability to stay organized and maintain quality during peak periods.

Schedule & Availability

• Full-time and part-time opportunities available.

• Weekend availability is a plus.

• Must be available to work during holiday weeks, excluding major holidays (closed).
