Facilities Custodian – Wilmington, DE

Pay: $17.00/hr + Overtime Available
Schedule: Full-Time | Weekends Required

Join a respected college campus team as a Facilities Custodian. We're seeking a dependable, hardworking individual who takes pride in maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming facilities for students, faculty, and visitors.

Schedule Options

Option 1

1. Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat
2. 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Option 2

1. Mon, Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun
2. 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Training Schedule (First Month)

1. Saturday through Wednesday
2. 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Facilities Custodian Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, sanitize, and remove trash
• Restock supplies and maintain cleanliness standards
• Operate custodial equipment and use cleaning chemicals safely
• Assist with campus event setup and breakdown
• Report maintenance and safety concerns
• Support snow removal and walkway safety during inclement weather
• Perform basic facility upkeep as needed

Qualifications for the Facilities Custodian

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, or cleaning experience preferred
• Experience in schools, colleges, healthcare, or commercial facilities is a plus
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and move equipment throughout the shift
• Must be available to work weekends and occasional overtime
