Manager, Social Media

Location: Fully Remote / Hybrid

Full-Time 



r.e.m. beauty is looking for a Social Media Manager with a track record of building best-in-class social strategy and creating (and curating) head-turning, disruptive, product-driven content. You’ll be the voice of r.e.m. beauty across our social channels, with a focus on Instagram and TikTok. From concepting and producing thumb-stopping content to engaging with customers and collaborating with creators, you will lead and execute a holistic, future-minded 360 strategy.

• Own and evolve platform-specific strategies across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube / Shorts, Twitter, and emerging spaces.
• Create and maintain a daily/weekly/monthly social content calendar rooted in product launches, culture moments, and trend cycles.
• Develop always-on strategies to drive continued focus and trial of hero products.
• Translate 360 brand campaigns into platform-native social moments that resonate and convert.
• Concept, shoot, edit, and post original content focus on product performance and social trends.
• Identify and lean into emerging content formats, effects, and sounds to keep ahead of the algorithm.
• Collaborate with in-house Influencer, Creative, and Product Development teams to constantly generate authentic brand storytelling.
• Manage daily engagement across platforms: respond to comments and DMs, amplify community content, and spark two-way conversations
• Identify super-customers and creators to spotlight, surprise, and co-create with.
• Monitor brand sentiment and develop creative ways to turn community insights into action.
• Partner with Influencer and Digital team to identify and brief creators for campaigns and evergreen content.
• Cultivate long-term relationships with key community members and voices in beauty.
• Oversee usage rights compliance and brand alignment across all UGC.
• Track and analyze performance metrics (engagement, reach, follower growth, content completion, saves/shares).
• Test & iterate to improve performance while maintaining brand integrity.

Qualifications:

at least 5 years of social media management experience, with 2-3 years of channel ownership at a beauty brand.

possess strong writing and storytelling skills with a deep understanding of brand tone and nuance.

a track record of building engaged communities and scaling audience growth

team player with a high aptitude for project management and prioritization.

an eye for detail and a keen copy editor.

a passion for innovative brand marketing and emerging trends and creators.

fluent in analytics platforms (Dash Hudson, CreatorIQ, Nectar preferred; Meta Insights, TikTok Creator Center)
