Job Summary

Scarpetta Nomad is seeking a skilled Pastry Sous Chef to join our team in New York. The Pastry Sous Chef will assist in the preparation and production of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods.

Qualifications

• - Proven experience working as a Pastry Chef or Pastry Sous Chef
• - Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and flavors
• - Ability to manage and lead a team effectively
• - Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• - Creativity and passion for creating visually appealing and delicious pastries

Responsibilities

• - Assist in planning, preparing, and executing a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods
• - Oversee the pastry kitchen operations and ensure quality and consistency in all products
• - Train and mentor pastry team members
• - Maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies
• - Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations

Additional Requirements

• - Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus
• - Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
